South Carolina calls special session for redistricting in 2026

Market overview

Governor Henry McMaster will exercise his authority to call a special legislative session before the 2026 midterms to redraw South Carolina's congressional districts. This follows Tuesday’s failed vote and pressure from national Republicans, including Trump. The move would signal a reversal of the Senate’s resistance.
